HortiBonn at the second meeting of the NRW Forest Research Network HortiBonn at the second meeting of the NRW Forest Research Network

Representing the University of Bonn as a key research institution in North Rhine Westfalia (NRW), HortiBonn’s Dr. Alex Röll followed an invitation by “Wald und Holz NRW” for the second annual networking meeting of the NRW Forest Research Network (‘Forschungsnetzwerk Wald NRW’) on 30 Sept 2025 in Arnsberg-Neheim, on the grounds of the Forest Education Center (“Forstliches Bildungszentrum”). The network meeting informed on the current activities in each partner institution and the future plans for collaborative research. This was enriched by an interesting guided tour through the Forest Education Center. In general, the network envisions synergistic effects and accelerated insights for forest conservation and climate change adaption in NRW.
