I am a PhD student funded by the DAAD-Becas Chile program at the Institute of Crop Science and Resource Conservation (INRES), Department of Horticultural Sciences, University of Bonn. My research focuses on the physiological and metabolic mechanisms underlying dormancy in temperate fruit trees, with a particular emphasis on apple (Malus domestica). The main objective of my work is to elucidate the role of different metabolites and plant hormones in the regulation of endodormancy and their relevance in the budbreak process.
