Earlier this month, on September 8th and 9th, ReForest partners from more than 10 countries convened at Henley Business School, University of Reading, UK, for the 4th consortium meeting, under the banner “Aligning Efforts for Lasting Impact.”

With the project entering its crucial final year, the session served as a strategic touchpoint to reflect on progress and sharpen the roadmap for the final home stretch.

Over the two days, partners shared performance results in the form of various activities carried out by different work packages, as well as milestones and deliverables submitted. They also discussed the potential for fruitful collaboration within and beyond the project, highlighting lessons learned about institutional barriers and the importance of enabling policy environments.

A major focus of the meeting was digital infrastructure. Partners reviewed progress on key tools, including FarmTree, the public goods estimator, the AF Map of Europe, and the dynamic management tool developed at the INRES Horticultural Sciences, University of Bonn (HortiBonn). Representing the agroforestry team at HortiBonn, Dr. Prajna Kasargodu Anebagilu presented the team’s advancements and showcased the growing catalogue of agroforestry systems integrated into the dynamic management tool. She also highlighted the ongoing collaboration with researchers at the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (CZU) to adapt the tool to the Czech Republic's regulatory framework.

Looking ahead, partners agreed on a coordinated final phase, with an increased emphasis on communication and the dissemination of project tools and results through webinars, workshops, policy briefs, and active engagement through working groups in the ReForest Platform.
